BillingOrchard was created based on the needs of a web development firm. From 1996 - 2001, the founder of BillingOrchard owned and operated a small 4-employee web design firm in Cleveland, Ohio. It was the failure to find a billing software product that could handle daily time-based hourly fees for multiple clients, along with monthly and annual hosting charges, that led to the closing of the web design firm and the creation of BillingOrchard.
BillingOrchard was primarily built based on our own experience as a small business. Small, 5-15 minute client updates were difficult to bill and very difficult to track and manage while managing larger projects at the same time.
